All of the teenagers who come on the Sail Caribbean summer program focus on specific areas of diving; some take their first breathes underwater with a Discover Scuba Course or an Open Water certificate. Many others, especially those teenagers returning for a second or third program, will focus on more specialized dive courses, Advanced Open Water, EFR and First Aid, Rescue Diver and on the Charlie Program all kinds of specialty courses. Before any of this, we require all divers that are already certified to perform a skill review to refresh their dive skills ahead of a busy diving program. They must all complete a mask flood, a buoyancy exercise and use a buddies alternate air source. You can see SCD instructor Hannah supervising her skill review in this picture.
