Sail Caribbean Divers are full or anticipation, as the staff and very soon the participants of the 35th Sail Caribbean sailing program arrive in the BVI.  Over 350 teenagers will join us for a sailing, diving, team building and marine biology program.  We look forward to introducing them all to the underwater world as many divers take their first breathes and others hope to advance their skills on our multitude of dive sites.

Leading up to the summer, PADI Course Director Mike Rowe led a hugely successful Instructor Development Course, and 7 new PADI instructors joined the ranks.  Congratulations to Chloe, Brandon, Luke, Anna, Carol, Matt and Erin.  All the participants want to extend their thanks to Mike and Staff Instructor Marcus for all their guidance throughout the course.  We wish the new instructors the best, as they embark on their new careers under the sea.

Throughout the last week of May it was a pleasure to welcome back, for the 14th year, the Sea Dog Divers group.  9 divers, led by Sieg and Kathy Stahl were treated to a wide array of dives throughout the Francis Drake Channel and around the Dog Islands.  One of the highlights was the ‘Sea Dog’s’ Jimmy Buffet tour to Jost Van Dyke.  The group made it to the secluded Sandy Spit and Bubbly pool and drank some freshly picked coconuts.  Jimmy would have been proud!

Despite the Sail Caribbean programs taking centre stage, all our other locations are busy, rental packages are still flying out of the door at the Mariner Inn and Marina and the dive boats are rendezvousing all throughout the channel.
