The British Virgin Islands are an exclusive collection of over 50 islands and cays in the NorthEast Caribbean, with the capital Road Town located on Tortola. Terrence B. Lettsome Airport (EIS) is located on Beef Island which is connected to Tortola by bridge. There are also several ports on Tortola and surrounding islands if arriving by sea.
From the USA, there are over 8 major airlines which fly directly to St Thomas (STT) in the US Virgin Islands. From St Thomas there are regular ferries to Tortola arriving at either West End or Road Town ferry terminals. Alternatively you can take a short 25 minute flight to Beef Island.
If coming from further afield you can stop off in San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU) or Antigua (ANT) before flying direct to Beef Island.
Once you have arrived on Tortola, you can take a taxi from outside the airport or ferry terminal to your overnight accommodation. Taxi fares are standardized based on the destination and number of passengers. There are also many car rental agencies on the Island which require a valid license from your home country.
