One of our staff saw a Manta Ray this morning near Pelican Island. The brief encounter saw the Manta flicking it’s fins up and turning over to feed right at the surface, before swimming away from the boat and back into deeper water. Manta Rays are rare in the BVI, although we do often see Southern Stingrays, Spotted Eagle Rays and occasionally Devil Rays.
